In 2006, November Inaugural meeting laid the foundation for what would become a thriving and vibrant community.
The inaugural Olcott Schools Cricket Tournament held in 2007 marked a historic moment for the Olcott Schools Alumni UAE. The tournament, which aimed to foster camaraderie and sportsmanship among the alumni of eight prestigious Sri Lankan schools, saw enthusiastic participation from Ananda College, Dharmaraja College, Nalanda College, Maliyadeva College, and Mahinda College.
Network expanded as Dharmapala College Pannipitiya, Dharmashoka College Ambalangoda, and Rahula College Matara joined the fraternity, enriching our community with diverse talents and shared goals.
Executive Committee of Olcott Schools in the UAE was officially formed. Ravindra Gunarathne was unanimously appointed as the first President, with Prabath Ranawana as Secretary and Vishwa Thilakarathna as Treasurer.

Olcott Schools in UAE wins Inaugural Olcott – Zahira Trophy while Combined Zahira team take Honours in Olcott – Zahira Legends Cricket Match in UAE. Inaugural edition of the Cricket matches between past pupils of Olcott Schools and Combined Zahira Schools of Sri Lanka residing in the United Arab Emirates concluded at Malek Cricket Stadium on Saturday the 3rd June, 2023.
Inaugural legends match between visited Srilankan Olcott Schools Legends & UAE Olcott Schools Legends match for the Bandula Warnapura Memorial Trophy was a main extravaganza of the day. Srilankan Olcott Schools Legends captained by Arjuna Ranatunga and UAE Olcott Schools Legends captained by Ravi Gunarathna; the UAE legends emerged victorious.
