The 9th annual family event of the Olcott School Alumni, featuring a new concept called “Fusion,” was held on 16th January 2022 at the DoubleTree Hotel in Al Jadaff, Dubai, UAE. The event, which has become a tradition, was fully performed by the talented members of the Olcott School Alumni, making it a unique and memorable experience for all attendees.
This year’s event was themed as a ‘Sing Along’ night, catering to the tastes of traditional Sinhala music lovers. The performances showcased the diverse talents of the alumni, highlighting their passion for music and their dedication to keeping their cultural heritage alive.
A large audience of Olcott School Alumni members and their families attended the event, demonstrating their unwavering support and enthusiasm for the alumni community in the UAE. The event also served as a platform to honor and recognize the contributions of individuals who have shown exceptional commitment and dedication to the Sri Lankan Olcott School Alumni.
During the Fusion, Anuradha Jayarathna, an Old Mahindian, was awarded for his outstanding commitment and dedication to the Sri Lankan Olcott Schools Alumni. The award was presented by Channa Welihinda, an Old Nalandian and one of the founder members of the Olcott Schools Alumni in the UAE. The event was elegantly conducted by Supun Jayasanka, an Old Anandian, adding a touch of professionalism and grace to the evening.
