The tournament was graced by the presence of Mr. W. B. Bennett, an Old Mahindian (1952-1954) and Guinness Record Holder for taking all 10 wickets behind the wickets in one inning for Mahinda College Vs Galle Cricket Club on 1st March 1953.
In the main event, Nalanda College “A” emerged victorious, claiming the championship trophy. Ananda College “A” put up a spirited performance but had to settle for the runner-up position. The individual awards were also keenly contested, with Kasun Ranjith from Nalanda College named the Best Bowler, Manujaya Seneviratne from Nalanda College as the Best Batsman, and Srinath Samararathna from Ananda College as the Best Fielder. Manujaya Seneviratne was also named the Player of the Tournament for his outstanding performance throughout the event.
